Battery Cell Sorting Machine
Automatic sorting and grading equipment for cylindrical lithium battery cells.

The Battery Cell Sorting Machine is designed for automatic voltage, internal resistance and capacity grading of cylindrical lithium battery cells. It helps improve battery pack consistency, production efficiency and quality control.
The Battery Cell Sorting Machine consists of a feeding mechanism, a barcode scanning mechanism, a testing mechanism, a transfer mechanism, and a cell buffer channel.
Equipment parameters for each sorting channel are configured via host computer software. A high-speed barcode scanner reads the QR code on each cell, while the tester measures the cell’s voltage and internal resistance. The system then binds the test data to the corresponding QR code, and a sorting robotic arm with suction cups transfers each cell to its designated channel — 6 OK channels and 1 NG channel — achieving fully automatic battery sorting.

Work Process
Operators first place lithium battery cells onto the feeding conveyor, which transports them one by one to the barcode scanning station for QR code reading. A linkage mechanism then transfers the cells to the testing station, where voltage and internal resistance are measured. The system binds the test data to the corresponding QR code, and a robotic arm with suction cups transfers each cell to its designated buffer storage bin. This cycle repeats continuously.
